Hi Everybody,

It's been a strange winter, not too cold like back home but the rain is really heavy. As I write this the river behind our church is flooding and very brown after yesterday's rain but the sun s shining in through my office window. Strange place!

Nigel is still determined to move home after next year, I am not sure yet we will come to that decision latter I am sure!

Trying to get over the Flu that has hit our town over the last 4 weeks. Working with kids I was going to get it sometime.

Well I better fly, miss so many of you!

Finally Feeling good about living in this town. Nudge has got his shit together because the weather has cooled down and we brought a little business to keep him busy.
Have taken a big step back from work and am now only working about 50 hours a week. Have to keep remembering that I am only paid for 40. This has been good for my health and my marriage.
Still know kaos type friends here, no SCA stuff done locally but have made a couple of friends outside of church and a little goth chick from another church who is their youth worker is looking like a good support for me too.

I need to have a bitch and here is as good as place to do it as anywhere. Small town Australia has got to be the most racist prone place this side of the Gaza strip.

IT really Fucks me off!!! I wish people would see kids and not the colour of their skin! SOme little kids from round the road came to visit a horse in a paddock. Mum's next's door neighbour let them have a ride, probably didn't notice their skin colour at first. Now they are not allowed to play in the street (a quite little no through road with three houses on it) because some other kids broke a pipe over at the car dealers. Just because he was Koori (Aboriginal locals) all Koori kids are bad.

AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I miss the relationship we have at home with other ethnic people! AHHHHHHHH!!!!!

All good here just to let you all know. Been really busy wih work and I love it. Nigel is stll settling in. Should get some kids in our house soon from the Foster people. Miss so many of you it's not funny. In fact it's strange the ones you miss the most.

Well I am up here for work and having a great time trying to stay cool! Had intresting journey so far. First I went to this backpackers, it wass meant to be 5star bur it was so bad I left without a refund. THen I got into this nice place but the air is broken and one night I had a bad thing happen.

I was asleep and two of my roomies came home. I had not met them and it was 5.30am. They decided to have sex only 4 m's away from me. Then their friend came back drunk woke me up and started hitting on me, lucky his friend put him right, took him away and then put him to be 20 mins latter. What a night. I have changed to a female dorm now!

Back to Taree on Wednesday, missing N but he is doing well in his hunt for a job.

Missing Kiwi friends but will make new ones here soon, I am sure.

Hey everyone,

Aussies (particually country ones) are a srange bunch, cellebrate at 9pm and hen if you are not in the city you go home. So home alone at 11.30 Nigel and I waited up till 12 watched the Sydney new years firworks on our 14 inch v and wen to bed.

But in saying all that it was a night evening and will make sure next year we sort something else out!

Flowers and More Flowers!

Mum has had me all over the place delivering flowers and that is going great. I now know heaps about Taree and how to get places.

Our house is real big but a real blast from the 50's. Even has a ballet dancer sketched on the mirror above the 'fireplace'. Not sure if I will ever get used to the floral carpet, but at least it's in better shape than in Glencairn Street.

Otago Uni takes ages to pay their bills. Still waiting for $1200 from them, we sent the bill mid November!

All is good here, hot, nigel is fadding a little cause of it. He is good too, enjoying potting round the house. Putting off the job search as long as possible.

Nigel and I have arrived in Taree and all is well. OUr new house go the power on today and it's really big. Not as furnished as I had hoped but we are getting loads from Ma and Pa.

Go through check in with no excess even though we were 14kgs too heavy. Yay for the SCA gear we had, we claimed it as sports gear when advised to do so by the nice Air NZ check in bloke.

Weather is warm but not stifling, overcast but not raining. Actually slept last night with no air con on.

Not much to say just letting you all know we are here safe and sound.

Thanks to all who came to our going away gig last night, it was so much fun! I may however be eating pizza for some days to come!

Really starting to look forward to Oz now, hoping the Labour Party will get in next elections with their new leader coming. Going to have to promote that party and the greens in my small backards town, much to dads horor.

I Hate Fucking Moving!

Ok, I was brought up moving all the time. I get to a stage where I need to move on, about every 2-3 Years. Very normal for me but I still hate moving. It's the whole fucking sorting out stuff to keep and stuff to sell. As strange as it might sound I now wish I was moving across town not to Oz. That way I could keep all my shit and not have to sell it off or farm it out to my friends to look after, just in case I come back in two years time.

Plus I have this huge order of weaving that is due next week. I have all but finished it but still I would rather be packing!

And just to finish only 18 of the 40+ people I invited to our going away dinner have RSVPed, please if you are in Dunedin and I was expecting you to be on the Otago list and you are not txt me 021 824579 to find out when you can come. I have booked the restaurant for 30 -40 but of course that can be changed.

That's my rant for the night, thanks for reading it. I am going to bed for a much needed sleep.

No More Tip

Our puppy (6 years old) has now found a great new home. It was so hard to give him away but know he has gone to a good home. Many tears shed cause he was Nigel's Dad's Dog, so we are also losing that connection, grieving a bit for Daddy Yates again.

The family lives in Milton and they have a 3yr old girl and 4yr old boy. When Tip in his excitement tripped the girl over she laughed and got up, perfect! They will really love him, it was very good to see them all play.

Feels really different with no Dog and just me and Nigel, I guess I will have to get used to that! We don't have to worry about the gate either!

Thanks to all those people who have added me to your friends list, it's great to feel so loved!

It was a great weekend. It was great to get together with friends from here and CHCH. I will miss you all very much.
Monkey really enjoyed himself, pitty I didn't bring him to earlier parties as he is leaving DUN soon too.

Booked our tickets for the 19th of Dec yesterday and we will be heading up to CHCH the day before we leave to go to Aussie for good, well at least the next two years.

Looking forward to catching up with a few old faces this weekend at the 48. Me thinks there will be more CHCH Kaos that Otago Kaos.
